Brooklyn Park plastics manufacturer expands
Diversified Plastics Inc. has announced plans to expand its manufacturing location in Brooklyn Park. The additional 10,000 square feet will bring the facility to approximately 53,000 square feet.
Diversified Plastics is a custom injection molder of high-precision molded components for the medical device, filtration, aerospace and other industries. It was founded 35 years ago.
“Our business has been growing, specifically in medical device components, and our facility expansion plans are key to meeting customer demand,” Diversified Plastics Vice President Annette Lund said.
The company expects to completely occupy the new space within six months.
“Several of our departments are busting at the seams right now, so we are redesigning our layout to improve overall workflow and make the best use of our new space,” Lund said. “We are excited about this expansion — it allows us to efficiently and effectively satisfy customer needs and to accommodate future growth.”
