Brooklyn Park Police remind public of winter parking rules

Brooklyn Park Police are reminding the public that no parking is permitted on any city street in Brooklyn Park 2-5 a.m. from Oct. 15 through April 15. Violators of this may receive a ticket.

City code also prohibits parking on any public street after a snowfall of two or more inches until the street has been plowed from curb to curb. City personnel determine the depth of the snow. Those who normally park on the street should locate a parking area off the street where they can park their cars when there is a snowfall of two or more inches. Owners of cars parked on the street following a snowfall, could be ticketed and towed to make way for plows.
