Inna Tur of Brooklyn Park voted for the first time in the U.S. after receiving her citizenship only a few weeks before Election Day Nov. 6. Originally Tur came from Belarus, a small country neighboring Russia. She brought her citizenship papers to her polling place at Monroe Elementary and registered to vote.
