‘A Century of Quilts’ now on display at Hennepin Gallery

“A Century of Quilts” will be on display through Wednesday, Jan. 30, at the Hennepin Gallery, located on the A level of the Hennepin County Government Center, 300 S. Sixth St. in Minneapolis.

The exhibit provides a look at historic quilts designed and created by Hennepin County residents from 1860-1960, include a blue ribbon winner from the Minnesota State Fair. Designs include log cabins, sunbursts, optic blocks, applique, pieced and crazy quilts. Fabrics and fibers used include feathers, silk, velvet, gingham, taffeta, satin and wool.

The Hennepin Gallery is free and open to the public from 7:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
