Brooklyn Center Arc’s Value Village had nearly 900 donors drop off donations at the Brooklyn Boulevard store during Donation Week Dec. 26-31. Three hundred of those donors contributed at the store on Dec. 31. The donations at the end of 2012 are three times the daily average at the Brooklyn Center store and resulted in 7,774 pounds of goods, according to Director of Community Relations Pam Carlson.
Donations are always accepted during regular store hours, 9 a.m-9 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m-7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Proceeds from items sold at Arc’s Value Village support Arc Greater Twin Cities’ programs and services for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
