Brooklyn Park is seeking to hire reserve and on-call firefighters.
An informational meeting for those interested will be 2:30-4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, at the Central Fire Station, 5700 85th Ave. N. Potential applicants and spouses or significant others are strongly encouraged to attend.
Reserve firefighters require no previous training. On-call firefighters require a state Firefighter I certification and Emergency Medical Technician-Basic certification.
Both positions require the firefighter to live within 15 minutes of a Brooklyn Park fire station.
Applications are available at city hall, 5200 85th Ave. N. The deadline is 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23.
