Comprehensive Arts Planning Program seeks new members
The Comprehensive Arts Planning Program is a District 281-wide committee advocating for arts education in schools and the community. It is currently seeking parents and community members to become involved in monthly meetings or working with specific programs.
CAPP meets 6-8 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month at the Education Service Center, 4148 Winnetka Ave. N., New Hope. The organization has two specific needs right now: Passport to the Arts assistance at multiple levels, and a meeting scribe (aka secretary) to help document and communicate information.
Robbinsdale Area Schools was one of the first districts awarded a CAPP grant from the state arts board nearly 30 years ago. Four grants and continuing district contributions have made the CAPP Committee a consistent presence in Robbinsdale Area Schools for 25 years.
