Golden Valley event benefits Project Healthy Smile Feb. 16

A fundraising event to send dental supplies to impoverished countries around the world will take place Saturday, Feb. 16, at Maki Strunc Studios, 6156 Olson Memorial Highway.
Project Healthy Smile has announced it will kick off Minnesota Fashion week with the Styles for Smiles event, which runs 1-4 p.m. Cary Aplin of CW-TV will host a fashion show featuring spring looks from the shops, Kokoon, Local Motion and Primp.  Also offered will be an “exclusive shopping experience,” mini makeovers and free false eyelash applications. Other entertainment includes music by DJ Spur, an interactive photo booth, a face painter, a raffle, wine and hors d’ouvres.
A portion of the proceeds from clothing and jewelry sales goes to Project Smile, which provides much-needed dental supplies to children in countries such as Haiti, Uganda, Cambodia and Vietnam. The first 50 people donating directly to Project Smile get VIP gift bags.
Styles for Smiles is a free event, but a $5 donation is encouraged.
