Letter: Thank you for 16 years of support
To the editor:
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the residents of Brooklyn Center for their 16 years of continued support for me as their councilmember. I have enjoyed it so very much. In my time serving, I have been privileged to meet so many of you, as well as many other public servants, from all over the country and world, who represent many levels of government. I have learned much and grown as a person, as a result of this wonderful experience. I want to thank the fabulous Brooklyn Center city staff for all of their hard work and support as well. Those of us who live in Brooklyn Center are very lucky to have such gifted and talented people working on our behalf. I want to thank my colleagues on the city council, Mayor Willson, councilmembers Kleven, Myszkowski, and Ryan, as well as all previous councilmembers and former Mayor Kragness, for being good “teammates,” as we worked together to set policy that would enhance the quality of life in Brooklyn Center. I learned and grew from knowing all of you.
Last but not least, I want to thank my family for all their support and sacrifice over the years, which enabled me to do the job I was elected to do. To my husband of 37 years, Len, daughter Kari, her husband, Mike, son, Jarret, daughter through marriage Randee and her husband, Jon, and grandchildren through marriage, Brandon and Taylor; thank you for all your support and “cheerleading” on my behalf, over the years. You are the best.
