Young people interested in making movies can submit their short videos to the second annual Perpich Youth Cinema Festival.
Videos should be no more than eight minutes. The categories are animation, experimental, narrative, documentary, music video and public service announcements.
Entries are free and due March 1. Videos must be in Quicktime format. The submission form is at tinyurl.com/videoentry.
Submissions will be judged by a panel of Perpich Arts High School students. All submissions must be free of copyrighted materials. In addition to showing submissions, the festival program will include an awards ceremony and a youth artist question and answer session.
The festival will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 13, at Perpich Center for Arts Education, 6125 Olson Memorial Highway, Golden Valley. It is open to the public.
