Youth ages 8-12 have the opportunity to learn about maple trees and how they are tapped for syrup 10-11:30 a.m., Monday, April 1.
Participants will collect sap and watch it cook to syrup for tasting. They will also make maple sugar and try maple candy during this activity held at French Regional Park, 12605 Rockford Road, Plymouth.
Instruction and equipment are provided by Three Rivers Park District. Make sure to dress for the weather. This class is dependant on weather conditions, and if the sap is not flow, class will be canceled.
The fee is $11 or Crystal, Robbinsdale and New Hope residents and $18 for nonresidents.
