Edinbrook Church in Brooklyn Park is welcoming the Rev. Brent Hall to the job after spending 16 months searching for a lead pastor,

Edinbrook had been without a lead pastor since January 2012, when Rev. Ivan Veldhuizen moved to Orlando, Fla., to become the director of International Missions for Converge Worldwide. On April 7 the congregation affirmed the selection of Hall as lead pastor with a 98 percent favorable vote.

Hall had been serving as the director of community life for Woodcrest Church in Eagan but made plans to move to the Brooklyn Park area. He and his wife, Danielle, are the parents of 4-year-old twins, Logan and Makayla.

The church’s search committee said Hall’s “energetic and engaging style draws people in, not only to hear the gospel but to grow deeper in their personal relationships with Jesus.”

Hall’s first Sunday at the church was April 28, and an installation service is 11 a.m. Sunday, May 5. The church is at 4300 Edinbrook Parkway.
