African Foods and Gifts will be occupying 1,500 square feet of retail space at 117 Willow Bend. It is a one-of-a-kind retailer that will feature traditional Liberian dishes, unique African apparel and jewelry and other gift items. The new African market offers dry, frozen, and unprepared food and Liberian recipes. It will also offer prepared home cooked meals to cater to families with busy lifestyles. Delivery services and online ordering will also be available.

In addition to selling food and gift items, the merchant will also provide money transfer, bill pay, money order, fax and photocopying services. Pre-paid phone cards and international phone minutes will also be available for purchase.

The owners of African Foods and Gifts, Frederick and Marlene Nah, are accounting and anti-fraud professionals that have previous experience co-owning and managing a similar enterprise for a period of three years. That business is still in operation today in Coon Rapids.
