YMCA awards New Hope teen volunteer

Justin Madison, of New Hope, was named one of YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities’ Youth Thrive honorees.
Madison has been a Y participant since middle school. He is an active member of Leader’s Club and Youth in Government, represents the New Hope YMCA on the metro-wide Teen Thrive Youth Council and Youth in Government State Steering Committee, plans monthly teen game nights and recruits friends to volunteer with the organization. This summer he will attend the YMCA Central Leaders School in Illinois to continue building leadership skills.
The YMCA presented the award to 38 teen leaders who have an impact on their communities while demonstrating a commitment to the organization’s core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
