Breck School has new leader

Natalia Rico Hernandez

Natalia Rico Hernandez has been named Breck’s Head of School.
Hernandez has approximately 25 years experience as a teacher and administrator and doctorate of education in leadership, policy and organizations from Vanderbilt University.
Hernandez previously worked as assistant head of school at Isidore Newman School in New Orleans, Louisiana.
“I envision a critical part of my role as Head of School to be best described by the Spanish word, portavoz, or ‘to carry the voice,’” she said. “My hope is to carry the voice of our school — our rich history, unique educational experience and important role in the community — for years to come.”
Breck School is a PreK-12 school located in Golden Valley that serves nearly 1,200 students.
