Think Again Brooklyns forum on trade and immigration

Think Again Brooklyns will host Dr. Steve Suppan, senior policy analyst at the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy in the Brooklyn Park city council chambers, at 5200 85th Ave. N. The event will begin with a pizza buffet at 6 p.m., followed by a presentation from Suppan at 6:30 p.m.
Topics addressed at the forum will include the impact of the North Atlantic Free Trade Agreement on Mexican farmers, immigrants in Minnesota who could become subject to deportation, recommendations for renegotiating the North Atlantic Free Trade Agreement, and immigration policy as it relates to immigrants who have resided in the United States for many years.
Partners assisting with the forum include the League of Women Voters chapter that serves Brooklyn Park, Osseo, Maple Grove and Brooklyn Center, as well as the Brooklyn Park Human Rights Commission.
